South Jersey Man Gets 28 Years State Prison For Double-Shooting
A 21-year-old Pemberton Township man was sentenced to 28 years in New Jersey State Prison for fatally shooting a 17-year-old boy and wounding a 17-year-old girl in Browns Mills, authorities said. Kai Johnson pleaded guilty to Aggravated Manslaughter (First Degree) and Attempted Murder (First Degree) in October 2023, according to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw. An 18-year-old man from Pemberton Township has been indicted for fatally shooting a 17-year-old male and wounding a 17-year-old female last fall in the 100 block of Snow Avenue in Browns Mills, authorities said. A teenager from South Jersey has been arrested in connection with a double shooting that left a 17-year-old victim dead and another wounded in Burlington County, authorities said.
