Four Atlantic City Boys Took Stolen SUV On Joyride In South Jersey, Police Say
Four Atlantic City boys were accused of stealing an SUV and driving it across Atlantic County, authorities said. A 14-year-old, a 13-year-old, and two 12-year-old boys were given several charges, the Galloway Township Police Department said in a news release on Monday, Aug. 12. Absecon police received a report of several people trying to break into vehicles in the city at around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11. A Philadelphia Eagles defensive star helped the Atlantic City Police Department hire one of its newest members, authorities said. Defensive tackle Fletcher Cox donated K9 Carlo to Atlantic City police, the department said in a Facebook post on Monday, Mar. 4. K9 Officer Robert Reynolds and K9 Carlo graduated from the Atlantic County police academy's K9 patrol and drug-detection course in Corbin City on Friday, Mar. 1. Authorities searched Bergenfield's middle school and the home of a 13-year-old boy who they said posted threatening Snap Chat messages. The messages "detailed a school bombing and school shooting" at the Roy Brown Middle School last Friday, Detective Lt. William Duran said Thursday. A dog may be man’s best friend, but an 8-year-old boy from Mahwah now has some buddies of his own at the Little Ferry Police Department. Mason Duffy didn’t expect that so many people would offer to buy the flags that he’d painted on wooden pallets during the COVID lockdown. “He wasn’t looking to sell them,” Little Ferry Police Chief James Walter said. “But he was getting tons of requests.” So Mason decided to fundraise his art and contribute some of the proceeds to a worthy cause.
