Several children were among a shocked crowd of people who witnessed a local basketball coach attack a Cliffside Park special police officer in broad daylight. Borough resident Calvin Ramsey, 42, was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer following the incident outside School #6 on Oakdene Avenue on Thursday, May 5. HEROES: Six youngsters who found themselves trapped between floors when an elevator jammed at a trampoline park in Wayne had to be hoisted up the shaft one at a time by firefighters. Atlantic City SWAT Arrests Trio, Recovers Loaded Machine Gun
A warranted raid on a home in Atlantic City led to three arrests and the recovery of multiple weapons including a loaded machine gun, authorities said. Atlantic City SWAT and Special Investigations detectives made the court-ordered search on Friday on the 1500 block of Mediterranean Avenue, police said.
