The estate of a 24-year-old man who was killed in a crash on the Garden State Parkway has reportedly settled a lawsuit against his former employer for $2.15 million. Brandon Lawson, of Manchester Township, was driving a dump truck owned by Farmingdale-based Galderese Trucking when its brakes failed on the southbound Parkway in Egg Harbor Township in the middle of the afternoon on Jan. 6, 2021, authorities said. Condolences were pouring in Tuesday, Aug. 8 for the three victims killed in last weekend's crash on the Garden State Parkway. Three people were killed in a crash when their car left the Garden State Parkway and struck a tree, authorities said. The crash occurred at 9:52 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 6 on the southbound lanes of the highway near milepost 44.6 in Port Republic in Atlantic County, according to New Jersey State Police. Child, 4, Drowns At Bergen County Home
A 4-year-old child drowned at a home in Woodcliff Lake on Friday, authorities confirmed. A 911 call brought officers to the home on Heidi Lane, a small cul-de-sac off Werimus Road next to the northbound Garden State Parkway shortly after 5 p.m. July 21, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Police have identified the garbage truck driver killed in a crash on the Garden State Parkway. Bayville resident David Mello, Jr., 56, was heading south in a Peterbilt 320 garbage truck when he ran off the road to the right near milepost 82.8 in Toms River, around 1:20 p.m. Friday, June 9, New Jersey State Police Sgt.
