Police in an Atlantic County city released new details as officers search for whoever killed a teen pedestrian in a hit-and-run crash. Absecon police said a white 2015 Jeep Compass with the New Jersey license plate L92PLY was wanted in the crash on Saturday, Feb. 17. A 34-year-old driver from Mount Laurel has been charged in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a young pedestrian, authorities said. Ronald Pables, 34, was charged on Saturday, Feb. 18, with knowingly leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident and endangering the welfare of a victim, according to Cherry Hill police. On Wednesday, Feb. 8 at about 5 a.m., police responded to Springdale Road near the entrance to Springdale Farm for the report of a person lying on the side of the road. A 26-year-old Atlantic City man has been indicted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian crash, authorities said. Harris L. Jacobs was charged Tuesday, Jan. 10 with knowingly leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. Jacobs is accused of striking and killing Orlando Fraga, 76, also from Atlantic City on Sept. 4, 2022, at approximately 3:35 a.m. on the 1800 block of Atlantic.Avenue in Atlantic City.
