Vehicle Thief Arrested Twice In Eight Hours By Same Atlantic City Officer, Police Say A man was accused of stealing a vehicle twice in about eight hours and getting caught by the same police officer in Atlantic City, authorities said. In a news release on Tuesday, May 14, the Atlantic City Police Department arrested 33-year-old Adam Ross of Absecon. He was charged with two counts each of theft and receiving stolen property. An officer found an empty and stolen minivan on the first block of Tennessee Avenue at around 6:57 p.m. on Sunday, May 12. Shooting Leaves South Jersey Woman, 26, Wounded A 26-year-old woman from Atlantic City was shot, authorities said. The shooting occurred at 12:32 a.m. Monday on the 400 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard, Atlantic City police said. The victim was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for treatment of her injuries.
