A Mercer County school district is mourning the loss of eighth-grade student Alex Wolohan. South Jersey High School Junior Struck, Killed By Car While Cycling
A high school junior from South Jersey was struck and killed by a car, the district confirmed. Aarav Shah, a rising junior at High School North in the West Windsor-Plainsboro district, was riding with a group of bicyclists out of state when he was fatally struck by a passing car, Superintendent David Aderhold said in a release on Sunday, July 17. A threat posted on social media prompted an increase police presence at a South Jersey school district, authorities said. The threat was posted online about High School North in the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District during the late afternoon on Sunday, June 5, according to a joint release from the West Windsor and Plainsboro Police Departments. West Windsor-Plainsboro HS On Lockdown For Threat Investigation, Police Say
A Mercer County high school was placed under lockdown Friday morning for a threat investigation, authorities said. The West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South was put into a shelter in place status after a potentially threatening graffiti message was found in a girls’ bathroom stall, local police said alongside Superintendent of Schools David Aderhold. The threat was found non-credible, and the lockdown was lifted about 90 minutes later, police said.
