23-Year-Old Driver Killed In South Jersey Collision With Pickup Truck
A 23-year-old driver was killed in a Gloucester County collision, authorities said. The fatal crash occurred about 12:30 p.m. Sunday on Barnsboro Road , Mantua Township police said. Witnesses reportedly saw a pickup truck passing in a no-passing zone before colliding with a car driven by Gino Giumarello of Mullica Hill, police said. Giumarello, 23, was a graduate of Clearview Regional High School and the University of Maryland in College Park No charges had been filed. UPDATE: A South Jersey man who was killed in a police-involved shooting last month had called 911 to report a trespasser on his property wielding a gun, Acting New Jersey Attorney General Andrew J. Bruck revealed Wednesday. Two Mantua Township police officers responded to a 911 call at the Elm Avenue home of Charles Sharp III, 49, shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sept 14, Bruck said. Prom Is On But Dancing May Be Cancelled For This New Jersey High School
Area high schools are planning for graduations and proms -- but COVID-19 still poses some problems, administrators say. If an in-person prom goes ahead at Clearview Regional High School in Gloucester Township, for instance, dancing will not be allowed, according to Principal Keith Brooks.
