The National Weather Service has released snow totals from the latest winter storm. In New Jersey, the most amount of snow from the Friday, Jan. 19 storm appears to have fallen in Hopewell Township (Cumberland County) and Mount Royal (Gloucester County), where 6.5 inches of snow were reported. Atlantic County: Dorothy, a section of Weymouth, got 6.4 inches, the most amount of snow across Atlantic County. Cape May County Man Busted With Child Pornography: Prosecutor
A Cape May County man is facing charges after he's accused of having pictures and videos of child pornography, according to authorities. Patrick Grace, 35, of Middle Township, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 5, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland announced. Grace is charged with second- and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child. The second-degree charge is for distributing child sexual abuse materials and the third-degree charges is for possession. Popular Food Truck Owners Devastated By South Jersey House Fire
Support is on the rise for the owners of a popular food truck, whose South Jersey home was badly damaged in a fire a few days after Christmas. A GoFundMe page set up for the Maguire family of Cape May Court House was organized by Izzi Angjelo and Jessica Lees, and had raised more than $13,000 as of press time. These NJ Towns Got The Most Rain In This Week's Storm: NWS
Yet another December rain storm has come and gone, leaving many New Jersey towns under water. According to the National Weather Service's Philadelphia/Mount Holly office, between one and three inches of rain fell across the area, ending early Thursday, Dec. 28. The town that got the most amount of rain is Washington Township (Warren County), with 3.38 inches, the weather service said. $13.4 Million Merger Brings Massive Beachfront Resort To Jersey Shore
Madison Resorts will open the largest resort in Cape May County next year, officials announced. Madison Resorts has purchased the Royal Hawaiian in Wildwood Crest for $13.4 million and will invest another $7 million for renovations. The Royal Hawaiian property will be united with the former Oceanview Motel next door which has been under construction since earlier this year. A 46-year-old man is accused killing his mom in Cape May County, authorities said. Jeffrey Surgent called the Ocean City Police Department saying he suffers from mental illness and he just killed his mom just before 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland said. Man Found Dead Along Cape May County Street: Police
A 49-year-old man was found dead along a roadway in Cape May County, authorities said. Brian Stewart, of Sea Isle City, was discovered at about 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14 along Central Avenue near the corner of 37th Street in Sea Isle City, police said. There were no signs of trauma to Stewart’s body, they said. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
