Pets Rescued, Red Cross Helps Family After House Fire On Jersey Shore: Firefighters
A home caught fire in a Lower Township neighborhood, officials said. Firefighters responded to the two-story house on Redwood Avenue in the Villas section of the township at around 1:41 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, the Villas Fire Company said in a news release. First-arriving crews saw heavy flames coming from the top floor of the home. Firefighters found fire on an outside deck spread into the attic. School Bus Carrying Students Bursts Into Flames On Garden State Parkway
Ten students and their bus driver were uninjured when their school bus burst into flames on the Garden State Parkway in Cape May County Wednesday, April 17, firefighters said. Firefighters and EMS units were dispatched to mile marker 20.8 south in Upper Township around 2:30 where the bus had erupted in flames, according to Seaville Fire Rescue. Heavy flames were shooting out of the bus when responders arrived, and all 10 students and the bus driver had already safely exited. 'Lost Everything:' 20 People Without Homes In Wildwood Apartment Fire
A fire ripped through an apartment in Cape May County, leaving 20 people without homes, including a man and his pregnant wife. Wildwood firefighters were called to the building at 319 East Juniper Avenue just before 6 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 22, the city's fire department said. The building has six apartments on two floors. Everyone got out of the building, but one person was airlifted to a Philadelphia hospital after suffering burns and smoke inhalation. 1 Airlifted In Wildwood Boat Fire
One person was airlifted in serious condition in a Wildwood boat fire Saturday. Arriving firefighters were flagged down to help a burn victim who was brought to a nearby business as flames ravaged the 40-foot pleasure vessel docked in the 400 block of Dock Street around 10:30 a.m., fire officials said. Wildwood Crest EMS and AtlantiCare Paramedics treated and transported the victim to the Cape May County Armory in Cape May Court House, where the patient was transferred to a Medevac helicopter and airlifted to Jefferson University Hospital Burn Center in Philadelphia.
