Six corrections officers were indicted after an inmate was pepper-sprayed and forcefully removed from his cell at a Burlington County detention center, authorities said. A fire that evacuated a senior housing complex left one person dead and about 25 displaced over the weekend, authorities in Burlington County said. A heavy smoke condition on the third floor of the J. Frank Budd Building on East Pearl Street brought officials from Burlington City to the scene around 11:35 Saturday, Oct. 15. A 70-year-old robbery suspect has been arrested in South Jersey, authorities said. Michael Swift, of Burlington City, has been charged with second-degree robbery, Evesham police said. A South Jersey man is facing an attempted murder charge after stabbing another man in the neck early Sunday morning, authorities said Monday. A woman and three men from Camden County have been arrested in connection with multiple fires as an abandoned iron foundry, authorities said.
