Woman, 61, Strikes Building, Killed In South Jersey Crash
A 61-year-old woman was killed when she struck a building in Bridgeton, authorities said.
On Monday June 26, at 1:44 p.m., Bridgeton police responded to the intersection of North Laurel Street and American Avenue for motor vehicle crash.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2018 Jeep Renegade operated by Maria A. Sorantino, of Bridgeton, was travelling westbound on American Avenue, proceeded through the North Laurel Street intersection and eventually struck 540 N. Laurel Street, police said.

A 28-year-old driver has been arrested in an alleged hit-and-run crash, authorities said.
The crash in Bridgeton left a 10-year-old girl in critical condition, they said.
Sierra A. Thomas, of Bridgeport, was charged Thursday, May 11 with knowingly leaving a motor vehicle accident that resulted in serious injury and endangering an injured victim, police said.
The girl was hit by an SUV as she crossed East Broad Street on her way to Wawa at 7:07 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, police said.

21-Year-Old Man Killed, Another Critical In South Jersey Shooting
A South Jersey man was killed and another man was critically hurt in a shooting, authorities said.
Bridgeton police were called to the 100 block of Vine Street for shots fired late Friday night, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said.
Tyrese McNair, who lived at the residence, was found shot in the chest multiple times, Webb-McRae said on Sunday.
McNair, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.

Federal agents captured two men following a pair of Camden County gunpoint gas station robberies, authorities said.
Paul Rogers, 27, and Kamau Bradshaw, 19, were both spotted after each robbery returning to a Camden residence with a large duffel bag, Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig said Monday.
Authorities armed with a warrant searched the residence and found an AR-style rifle believed used in both holdups, the duffel bag and other pieces of evidence, Honig said.
