Police couldn't believe their eyes. Cruising along westbound Route 4 in Paramus was a converted school bus with several people riding on the roof. Draped in flowers and sashes, the ramshackle Sixties time machine had makeshift scaffolding, a ladder in back, and a traffic cone wrapped in colorful fabric in front to resemble a unicorn's horn. Not everyone falls for the "grandchild in trouble" scam. A Fair Lawn senior citizen who’d been targeted by scammers quickly figured out what was what and immediately called police. Detective Chris O’Shaughnessy responded to the Barry Place home after someone claiming to be a lawyer called a resident there and asked for $11,000 bail to get the would-be victim's granddaughter out of jail, Sgt. Here's The Rub: Fair Lawn Massage Therapist Busted In Undercover Prostitution Sting
A massage therapist rubbed an undercover police officer in Fair Lawn the wrong way, authorities charged. Qiuefeng Wang, 57, of Fair Lawn was charged with prostitution following the incident at CW Body Works Therapy on Fair Lawn Avenue, Sgt. Brian Metzler said. She was released on a summons to appear in court. Police set up the sting after "receiving information of illicit activity," Metzler said. He didn't identify which particular "service" was offered.

UPDATE: A 70-year-old driver from Middlesex County was killed in a Labor Day weekend crash on the Garden State Parkway, authorities confirmed. The mid-2000 model Ford 500 sedan driven by Rick Attanasio, ran off the road in the southbound lanes at the Exit 137 ramp in Cranford and hit a metal traffic post before slamming into a tree at noon Saturday, New Jersey State Police Sgt.
