Beach In Cape May Reopens After Man Found Dead, Authorities Say (Update) A beach in Cape May was shut down after a man was found dead, authorities said. Cape May police found the roughly 50-year-old man's body early in the morning on Monday, Aug. 26, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland said in a news release. His body was discovered on Cove Beach near the end of Beach Drive. The man's death wasn't considered suspicious. Swimming advisories were initially issued at 13 beaches, where enterococci levels exceeded 104 colony forming units (cfu) Monday.
