Jersey Shore Native, Beloved Photographer Dies Suddenly, 36
Jersey Shore native and beloved photographer Walter Kelly McCaffrey, Jr. died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 5. He was 36.
Walter grew up in Barnegat and graduated from South Regional High School, his obituary and social media pages say.
Walter then went on to graduate from Colorado Mountain College before moving to Denver, where he was studying economics at the University of Colorado, his memorial says.
Walter was a skilled photographer and enjoyed cycling, snowboarding, and surfing, his obituary says.

Woman, 59, Killed In Jersey Shore Crash: Police
A 59-year-old woman was killed in a two-car crash on the Jersey Shore, authorities said.
On Sunday, Feb. 20 at 3:53 p.m., Barnegat police responded to Barnegat Boulevard North and Cole Drive for a report of a motor vehicle crash.
Police found the driver of one of the vehicles, Alice Toriello, 59, of Barnegat unconscious and unresponsive.
Officers performed life-saving measures on Toriello who was transported to Southern Ocean Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead, police said.

More than 40,000 pills were discovered in the home of a Jersey Shore couple arrested this week in a statewide opioid distribution scheme, authorities announced on Wednesday.
Jason Maxson, 50, and Laurie Maxson, 51 -- who are married -- used their Barnegat home to store and distribute pain medication across New Jersey, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
