Fugitive Caught After Overnight Standoff In South Jersey: Police
A fugitive was taken into custody after an overnight standoff in Atlantic County, authorities said.
Prentiss Blaylock, 37, of Egg Harbor Township, was arrested on Friday, Apr. 19, according to an Egg Harbor Township police spokesperson. The scene on Ivins Avenue had been active for more than 24 hours, the police department said in a Facebook post.
Blaylock was sought for unlawful possession of a weapon, child abuse, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, resisting arrest, and theft. He was listed on the Atlantic County Sheriff's Office's "most wanted" list.

A fugitive once featured on “America’s Most Wanted”.has admitted to fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend in 1994, authorities said.
Francisco Martinez, 53, pleaded guilty on Thursday, March 30, in the domestic stabbing of Patricia Boney, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
His plea to aggravated manslaughter calls for him to serve a 20-year sentence, the prosecutor said.

A technology school teacher from Atlantic County has been charged in connection with inappropriate relationships with students, authorities said.
Peter Thompson, 51, of Galloway, is a former teacher at the Atlantic County Institute of Technology (ACIT), according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
Earlier this year, ACIT officials notified law enforcement that a student disclosed several instances of inappropriate sexual behavior by Thompson, the prosecutor said.
