Man, 39, Wounded In Atlantic City Shooting: Police
A 39-year-old man from Philadelphia was wounded in a shooting in Atlantic City, authorities said.
On Wednesday, Aug. 2, at 3:44 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue for a ShotSpotter alert, Atlantic City police said.
Police found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. His name was not released by police. The victim was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, to be treated for a non-life-threatening injury, police said.

An Atlantic City man and a teenager admitted to assault and firearms offenses, authorities said.
Kareem Rex, 28, of Atlantic City, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault on Monday, July 31, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
Rex’s co-defendant, K.L., age 16, also of Atlantic City, also pleaded guilty and was sentenced as an adult on Tuesday, Aug. 1, on charges of aggravated assault and pointing a firearm at another person.

Three men were arrested in Atlantic City, including one wanted for shooting a gun, authorities said.
On Monday, July 31, at 6:14 p.m., Officer John Bell allegedly saw Koron Still and two other men, Alim Tisdale and Melvin Young, in the 500 block of South Carolina Avenue, Atlantic City police said.
Still was wanted since June 26 after an incident at a home where Still became involved in a fight, police said. On that date, Still allegedly removed a handgun from his waistband and fired one gunshot at the victim, police said. No one was hurt.

A 35-year-old Atlantic City man has been convicted of murder in a Pleasantville High School football game shooting that killed a 10-year-old boy and wounded two other spectators, authorities said.
Alvin Wyatt was convicted on Thursday, July 27, after a five-day jury trial, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
In addition to the murder conviction, the jury convicted Wyatt of two counts of attempted murder, unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, and certain persons not to possess firearms, the prosecutor said.

A civilian employee of the Atlantic City Police Department, who was in charge of payroll, billed for hours of work when she wasn't at work, authorities said.
Suzanne Ricketts, 43, of Pleasantville, was indicted by an Atlantic County grand jury for official misconduct, theft by deception, and computer crimes on Thursday, July 20, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
