8-Year-Old Boy Sleeping In Parked Car Killed After Fishing Trip In South Jersey: Prosecutor An 8-year-old boy from Philadelphia died in a crash while sleeping in a car parked along White Horse Pike in Absecon, authorities said. The boy was asleep in the car after a fishing trip with his father when the crash occurred at about 3:25 a.m. on Sunday, July 23, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. The initial investigation indicates a 2019 Nissan Sentra, operated by Edward Johnston, 25, of Egg Harbor City, was traveling westbound when it went off the roadway to the right and struck a 1995 Honda that was parked on the shoulder, the prosecutor said.
