The man, whose name is being withheld to protect the victim, was convicted of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, showing obscene material to a minor and endangering the welfare of a child last July, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.
The victim, now 16, testified at trial that the defendant sexually assaulted her in the family home from when she was five to 12 years old, authorities said. She disclosed the abuse when she was 14, authorities said.
This case was investigated by the Egg Harbor Township Police Department, which obtained a confession from the defendant, authorities said.
