Two Tractor Trailers, Two Cars Collide On Route 80 (
Update
)
A crash involving two tractor-trailers and two passenger vehicles closed a portion of Route 80 early Wednesday, Aug. 21, police said. Troopers responded to the crash in the eastbound lanes at milepost 37.6 in Rockaway Township around 8:15 a.m., Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. Minor injuries were reported and the crash remains under investigation.

Man Busted After Assault At Softball Game: Hackettstown PD
A man was arrested and charged with assault after an altercation at a softball game on Thursday, Aug. 15, authorities said. At 8:49 p.m., an off-duty officer witnessed the assault at Tannery Field, Hackettstown police said in a release. During the game, an altercation broke out and Jeffrey Binns struck the victim in the face with a closed fist, causing a laceration above his left eye, police said Binns was charged with simple assault, police said.

Missing Morris County Girl Found Safe On Train In North Carolina: Prosecutor
A 15-year-old Morris County girl, who had been missing since last month, was found safe on the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 13, authorities said. Investigators determined the girl was on an interstate train heading south and contacted police in North Carolina, who were able to locate her on a train, unharmed, and took her into protective custody, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Morris County Sheriff James Gannon said. All Lanes Closed After Route 521 Crash:

A crash on Route 521 in Warren County has closed all lanes on Tuesday, Aug. 13, authorities said. The crash occurred on Route 521 at Exit 12 by Dogwood Road and Blairstown Road in Hope Township, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said. All lanes are closed and the exit ramp has also been closed as police remain on scene, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said. Emails have seen sent to the Blairstown Police Department and Warren County Prosecutor's Office requesting additional information.

A 45-year-old Franklin man was arrested for DWI on the early morning of Sunday, Aug. 11, after he was observed driving 10 miles below the speed limit, authorities said. At 1:48 a.m., officers were patrolling Sparta Avenue when they noticed a vehicle driving southbound failing to maintain a single lane of travel and driving below the speed limit, Sparta police said. A 41-year-old Branchville resident was arrested on Saturday, July 6, after he fled a traffic stop in Franklin Borough, authorities said.
