A 90-year-old woman was rescued from a house fire in Clinton Township on Saturday, Oct. 5, authorities said. At 3 p.m., police reported heavy smoke coming from the front door of the home on 15 Westchester Terrace, the Clinton Township Police Department said in a release. Officer Michael Malanga and Fire Chief Jeff Hedden approached the front door and heard a woman yelling for help from inside the home, authorities said. Driver Hospitalized After Vehicle Overturns On Route 78:

A person was hospitalized after their vehicle overturned on Route 78 in Hunterdon County on Saturday, Sept. 14, authorities said. Two Toyotas were traveling west on Route 78 in Clinton Township when they crashed into each other, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. As a result of the crash, one of the passenger cars ran off the right side of the road, overturned, and the driver became entrapped, Lebron said. Authorities have released details in a dump truck crash on Route 31 in Clinton Township that left one person dead on Tuesday, June 18. A 66-year-old man was operating a dump truck that collided with a Toyota sedan driven by a 64-year-old woman around 2:20 p.m. in front of Riley and Jake's Restaurant, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office said. A raccoon in Hunterdon County tested positive for rabies on Friday, May 17, the Hunterdon County Department of Health. The raccoon was found in Clinton Township in the area of Andreann Drive and Hamden Road, health officials said.
