It will now cost a little less to take the train to watch the World Cup at MetLife Stadium. New Jersey Transit will be reducing round-trip rail prices to the World Cup from $150 to $105, according to The Athletic. The 30% price reduction comes after the state received support from sponsors and other sources, according to The Athletic. The fare, which includes a stop at Secaucus, is typically $12.90. Fire On NJ Transit Train Causes Delays: Officials
A small fire occurred on an NJ Transit train on Wednesday, June 25, authorities said. At 7 p.m., North Jersey Coast Line train No. 3363, which departed New York Penn Station at 5:01 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Bay Head at 7:07 p.m., experienced a small fire in the engine compartment at Spring Lake Station, NJ Transit said. No injuries were reported among the 55 passengers and crew and the passengers made their own alternate means of transportation, NJ Transit said. The North Jersey Coast Line remained in service with residual delays, NJ Transit said.

Man Fatally Struck By Train In Summit: NJ Transit
A man was fatally struck by a train near Summit Station, early Tuesday morning, May 27, authorities said. At 1:28 a.m., Morris and Essex Line train 6907, which departed New York Penn Station and was en route to Dover, struck and fatally injured the man, NJ Transit said. There were no injuries reported to the approximately 50 customers or crew on board, NJ Transit said. New Jersey Transit Police are leading the investigation.

Man Struck, Killed By NJ Transit Train In Hackensack: Officials
NJ Transit rail service was suspended along the Pascack Valley Line due to a fatal pedestrian strike in Bergen County on Thursday morning, May 22, officials said. The incident occurred around 11:36 a.m. near the Clinton Place crossing in Hackensack, NJ Transit said. Train #1624, which left Spring Valley at 10:55 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 12:05 p.m., struck and killed a man, rail officials said. Dump Truck Driver 'Shaken Up' After Crash With Commuter Train In Morris County
Delays along NJ Transit's Morris & Essex Line were being reported due to a dump truck that struck a train Wednesday afternoon, July 31. Woman Charged With DWI After NJ Transit Train Hits Empty Vehicle In Central Jersey
A Long Branch woman was accused of driving while intoxicated after an empty vehicle was struck by a New Jersey Transit train, authorities said. North Jersey Coast Line train No. 4384 hit an unoccupied vehicle in Long Branch at around 8:59 p.m. on Monday, June 3, an NJ Transit spokesperson said. The vehicle was struck at the Cedar Avenue crossing between the Long Branch and Elberon stations.
