See New Walkway That's Making This Somerset County Town More Pedestrian Friendly Montgomery is about to get a little more pedestrian friendly. The township will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new pedestrian pathway on Skillman Road on Wednesday, Oct. 16.  The half-mile pedestrian pathway connects Otto Kaufman Community Center, Montgomery High School and other neighboring areas. Motorcyclist, 47, Killed In Somerset County Crash: Prosecutor A 47-year-old Montgomery resident, was killed in a motorcycle crash in Manville on Sunday, Sept. 15, authorities said. At 5:32 p.m., Manville police responded to South Main Street and Roosevelt Avenue and found a motorcyclist who had sustained critical injuries from a crash, Somerset County Prosecutor John McDonald, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives Francisco Roman Jr., and Manville Borough Police Department Deputy Chief Craig Jeremiah said. Man Yelled Racial Slurs In Person's Backyard On July 4, Montgomery Police Say Police in Montgomery are looking for a man who yelled a racial slur at a couple while on their property on the evening of Thursday, July 4. That evening, the couple observed an elderly man in their backyard, Montgomery police said in a release. When the couple confronted the man, he started harassing them and yelled a racial slur, police said. The man left the property but was observed later walking through the neighborhood. The man was last seen wearing jeans, a  pink polo shirt, glasses, and a camo style ball cap and he spoke with an accent, police said.
