Toddler ID'd As Third Victim In Fiery Hit-And-Run Crash That Killed NJ Residents
An infant was among three family members killed in a fiery hit-and-run crash on the Merritt Parkway, Connecticut State Police said.
Yanelet DePaz, who was 1 year and 9 months old, died alongside Maria E. Vasquez Chacon, 29, and Joselyn Vasquez-Chacon, 25, both of Trenton, New Jersey, Connecticut State Police said.
The crash happened early Sunday morning, May 11, on Route 15 south in Stratford near Exit 36. Troopers were called to the scene around 4:50 a.m., according to a state police incident report.

Howell Woman Airlifted After Crash Engulfs Vehicle In Flames: East Windsor PD
A 21-year-old Howell woman was airlifted to a nearby hospital following a crash in East Windsor on Monday, April 13, authorities said.
At 10:03 a.m., officers responded to Route 33 West and Twin Rivers Drive North after a Subaru Crosstrek was traveling westbound and failed to observe 2025 Kenworth and struck the back of the Kenworth, East Windsor police said.
Following the crash, the Subaru caught fire, which was extinguished by police and a Good Samaritan, police said.

Denis Ricardo Zelaya Zapata, 29, of Toms River, was behind the wheel of a black 2023 Toyota Highlander that had struck a tree on Hyson Road and become fully engulfed in flames just after 12 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, Police Lt. A devastating three-alarm fire in Trenton killed an 18-year-old high school student and displaced more than 20 people, according to city officials and published reports.
The blaze broke out at approx 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 on the 1200 block of North Olden Avenue and spread across seven houses, according to the City of Trenton's news release and 6abc.

Asbury Park police sprang into action on Monday, Aug. 25, helping to rescue a child whose home was on fire, authorities said (scroll for video).
At 8:44 a.m., police were dispatched to 510 Prospect Ave. and observed heavy smoke and flames coming from the residence, Asbury Park police said.
