Man Seriously Injured After Crash On Route 287:

A man suffered serious injuries following a collision on Route 287 in Somerset County on the afternoon of Friday, Oct. 18. At 5:18 p.m., a Ford pickup truck was traveling northbound on Route 287 in Bridgewater Township when it veered off the roadway to the right, struck the guardrail and then crossed into another lane, and hit another guardrail, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver, a 66-year-old Lake Hopatcong resident sustained serious injuries, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

Flying Spare Tire Seriously Injures 21-Year-Old Driver On Parkway In South Toms River: Police
A spare tire sent flying on the Garden State Parkway left a 21-year-old motorist seriously injured on Friday, Oct. 18, police said. PA Man Killed, Driver Airlifted In Crash On Jersey Shore Road: Troopers
A northeast Pennsylvania man was dead and another man was airlifted after a head-on crash on the Jersey Shore, officials said. Thomas Grau, 55, of Falls, PA, died in the crash in Dennis Township on Tuesday, Oct. 15, a New Jersey State Police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the scene on Route 47 South just south of Tyler Road near milepost 18.8. at around 12:28 p.m. Investigators said Grau was driving north in a Toyota Prius when he crossed the center line and struck an oncoming Nissan Pathfinder. Thieves Stole Brick Township Assemblyman's Car While Family Slept, Police Say
A Jersey Shore assemblyman's car was stolen by thieves in Hazlet, authorities said. Assemblyman Paul Kanitra, R-Brick Township, said in a Facebook post that his car was taken from his mother-in-law's house in Hazlet just before 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Kanitra was in Washington, D.C. for his work as the owner of the lobbyist firm Lobbyit.com. Kanitra said the thieves drove up to the home in a stolen white BMW with temporary plates. A driver escaped a rollover crash relatively unscathed Saturday, Oct. 5 in South Jersey, firefighters said. No state troopers will face criminal charges after a Millville man died while in police custody, authorities said. A state grand jury voted to not file any charges related to the death of 30-year-old Daniel King, the state Office of the Attorney General said in a news release on Monday, Oct. 1. Jackson Township Man Sentenced For Sharing, Downloading Child Porn: Prosecutors
A Jackson Township will spend several years in prison after admitting to sharing child pornography, authorities said. A vehicle crashed and overturned on the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County, officials said. The crash happened in the parkway's southbound express lanes at around 11:08 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, the state Department of Transportation said. A 62-year-old driver was killed in a crash on the Garden State Parkway in Atlantic County this weekend, authorities said. Troy E. Thompson, of Brick Township, was heading south in a Hyundai Tucson when he veered off the roadway to the left while negotiating a curve exiting via the 38A exit ramp Saturday morning, Sept. 21 around 9:30 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt.
