Man Pulled Knife On Business Owner In Jersey Shore City's Downtown, Police Say
A man was wanted for an armed robbery in downtown Absecon's business district, authorities said. Officers responded to the robbery on New Jersey Avenue just after 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, the Absecon Police Department said in a news release. A 911 caller reported that a man pulled out a knife and demanded money from a business owner. The owner got out of the business uninjured and the suspect ran away from the scene. Fugitive Led Officers On Chase, Injuring One, After Jaywalking In South Jersey: Police
A wanted man from Williamstown was accused of having a gun and running away from police after he was caught jaywalking in Atlantic County, authorities said. Gregory Ganski III, 24, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 4 for weapons charges and his outstanding warrants, the Absecon Police Department said in a news release. Officers stopped him at around 1 p.m. after he was seen improperly crossing Route 30. Investigators said Ganski lied to officers in order to avoid receiving a summons. A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle along a Jersey Shore roadway over Labor Day Weekend, authorities said. Absecon police were called to Route 30 (Absecon Boulevard) west of the Delilah Road overpass around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, local police said. Four Atlantic City Boys Took Stolen SUV On Joyride In South Jersey, Police Say
Four Atlantic City boys were accused of stealing an SUV and driving it across Atlantic County, authorities said. A 14-year-old, a 13-year-old, and two 12-year-old boys were given several charges, the Galloway Township Police Department said in a news release on Monday, Aug. 12. Absecon police received a report of several people trying to break into vehicles in the city at around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11. Man Fired Shots In South Jersey 'Motel Corridor', Police Say
A Mays Landing man was accused of firing a gun in a South Jersey area with several motels. Desmon Wilson, 23, was arrested on Friday, June 14, the Absecon Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to a report of fired shots on the Route 30 "motel corridor" just before 10:30 p.m. Police began searching for possible victims in the area. After reviewing surveillance video, Wilson was eventually identified as the suspect and taken into custody. Wilson was charged with several weapons offenses. Atlantic City Man Killed Teen Pedestrian In Hit-And-Run Crash: Police
An Atlantic City man was accused of killing a teen pedestrian in a hit-and-run crash, authorities said. Everette Williams, 52, was arrested on Thursday, May 16, the Absecon Police Department said in a news release. He was facing charges in the deadly crash on Route 30 West on Saturday, Feb. 17.
