Swimming was temporarily banned at The Cove at Lake Lenape, the Township of Hamilton Police Department posted on Facebook on Tuesday, Aug. 13.  Low water and high algae blooms have prevented swimmers from going in the water since Saturday, Aug. 10. Sean Daly, 53, of Mays Landing, was charged with murder and weapons offenses, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release on Thursday, Mar. 21. He was accused of killing his 74-year-old mother Melba Daly, also from Mays Landing. Township of Hamilton police responded to a 911 call at a home on Quinn Avenue at around 11:38 a.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 20. When officers arrived, they found Melba Daly dead inside the house.
