Major Storm System Expected To Bring Strong Winds, New Round Of Rain To Region A significant storm on track for the Northeast is expected to bring potentially damaging gusts and a new round of rainfall in the middle of the workweek. The system will move in from the Midwest on Wednesday, Nov. 30. It's the same storm that could cause a "possible severe weather outbreak in the Southeast, as well as a swath of snow across the Plains and Upper Midwest," according to AccuWeather.com. (See the image above.) These Areas Will See Heaviest, Steadiest Rainfall, Strongest Winds From Coastal Storm System A coastal storm system will bring a mix of showers, rain, drenching downpours, and gusty winds to much of the region. Rainfall will begin Sunday afternoon, Oct. 23, and continue at times through the evening and into the overnight hours, according to the National Weather Service. Sunday will be cloudy throughout the day, with the storm system advancing from the southeast to the north. (See the first image above.)  The high temperature will be in the low 60s.
