Driver Charged In Fatal Hit-Run Crash: Report
A 25-year-old driver from Gloucester County has been charged in a fatal pedestrian crash, NJ Advance Media reported.
Matthew Jefferson, of Deptford, then allegedly fled the scene of the crash, the outlet said.
Killed was Paul Margand, 60, of Deptford Township, who was walking westbound on Cattel Road in Deptford at about 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, police said.
Margand was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he died shortly after, the report says.

Man Indicted In Home Invasion Shooting Death Of South Jersey Mom
A South Jersey man has been indicted in the shooting death of a teenage mother during a home invasion, NJ Advance Media reported.
Aaliyah Eubanks, 19, of Bridgeton, was killed overnight on May 16, 2021, as three intruders entered her Burlington Manor apartment, the outlet said, citing police.
In May, Donavan E. Watts, 36, of Millville, was charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder, police said.
Police were searching for additional suspects, according to the report.

Pair Indicted In Fatal South Jersey Shooting Of Teenager: Report
Two men from South Jersey have been indicted in the fatal shooting of a teenage boy, NJ Advance Media reported.
Deshawn T. Bowen, 23, of Bridgeton, and Rohdane E. Watson, Jr., 18, of Vineland, were charged by a grand jury in the fatal May 26 shooting of Anthony Torres-Sanchez, 15, of Vineland, the outlet said.
Police found the victim at the Redwood Court trailer park on North Delsea Drive in Vineland at about 11:45 a.m. with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead..

New Chain 'Just Love Coffee Cafe' Comes To NJ: Report
A coffee chain based in Tennessee has opened its first cafe in New Jersey, NJ Advance Media reports.
Just Love Coffee Cafe, which serves gourmet omelets, breakfast burritos, waffles, and more, opened its doors at 273 Broad St. in Matawan on Monday, Aug. 8, the outlet says.
The company already is considering expanding in New Jersey.
