A 20-year-old Pleasantville man was wounded in a shooting in Atlantic City, authorities said. On Saturday, Dec. 2, at 4:40 p.m., Atlantic City police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 300 block of New York Avenue. Police found evidence of gunfire. Shortly after, a shooting victim arrived at the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Atlantic City police arrested a juvenile armed with a handgun after he bit an officer, they said. On Thursday, June 29, at 2:06 p.m., Officer Troy Grams observed a boy walking in the 600 block of New York Avenue. Grams observed what appeared to be a handgun in the male’s waistband. A 19-year-old man from Philadelphia was arrested with a handgun in Atlantic City, authorities said. On Sunday June 11, at 3:53 p.m., Sergeant Garry Stowe learned that there was a man in the beach block of New York Avenue in possession of a handgun, police said. Officer Joseph Kelly Jr. responded to the area and located the man leaning into a vehicle through an open door. Overdose Victim Found On Bench In Atlantic City
A report of an unconscious man turned out to be an apparent drug overdose in Atlantic City, authorities said. On Friday, March 24, at 8:32 a.m., police were dispatched to the corner of New York and Adriatic Avenues. Officers arrived to find the unconscious male lying on a concrete bench near the sidewalk in the 300 block of north New York Avenue, police said. After checking for vital signs, officers began CPR until the Atlantic City Fire Department and Emergency Medical personnel arrived and took over CPR.
