One Wounded In South Jersey Shooting One person was wounded in a Salem City shooting on New Year's Day, authorities said. Multiple shots were reported at about 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 1 near Long Lane and Carpenter and Hedge streets, Salem City police said. The wounded person sustained non-life-threatening injuries, police said. No arrests had been made but the shooting remains under investigation.
