AG Names Knife-Wielding Man Shot, Killed By South Jersey Police Officer Authorities identified the Pennsauken man who was wielding a knife when he was shot and killed by a police officer. Keith Edelin, 46, was named as the man who died in the shooting, the state Attorney General’s Office said in a news release on Friday, Nov. 8. The shooting happened in the Westmont section of Haddon Township on Sunday, Nov. 3. Man Pulled Knife On Business Owner In Jersey Shore City's Downtown, Police Say A man was wanted for an armed robbery in downtown Absecon's business district, authorities said. Officers responded to the robbery on New Jersey Avenue just after 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, the Absecon Police Department said in a news release.  A 911 caller reported that a man pulled out a knife and demanded money from a business owner. The owner got out of the business uninjured and the suspect ran away from the scene. The five boys from Atlantic City were arrested on Friday, Aug. 9, the city's police department said in a news release on Wednesday, Aug. 14. Officers responded to the robbery report at Tropicana Atlantic City at around 8:05 p.m. Investigators said the man was approached by five males and one of the suspects held a large knife to his back as they demanded his belongings.
