12-Year-Old Girl Struck, Killed With Dog In South Jersey: Report A 12-year-old girl and a dog were struck and killed by a vehicle as they crossed a street in Mercer County, NBC Philadelphia reports. Ananta Ahuja and her dog were struck by a Jeep Grand Cherokee at the intersection of Rabbit Hill Road and Abbington Lane in West Windsor around 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, the outlet said. The Jeep driver, whose name was not released, was reportedly cooperating with police. Ananta was a 7th grader at Community Middle School in the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District. 2 Drivers Killed In Head-On Crash In South Jersey Two drivers were killed in a head-on crash in Burlington County, authorities said. A northbound Jeep Grand Cherokee and a southbound Acura collided on Route 563 near milepost 30 at about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1 in Washington Township, said Trooper Troy McNair, a New Jersey State Police spokesman. Both the Jeep's driver, Maureen Hanna, 22, of Pleasantville, and the driver of the Acura, Latoya Sotomayor, 36, of Egg Harbor Township, suffered fatal injuries, McNair said. The crash remains under investigation.

NY Man Dead In Fiery Turnpike Crash A New York man died in a fiery crash that closed the New Jersey Turnpike Saturday morning, July 22, police said. Henry Subin, 77, of Katonah, NY, was heading north in a Jeep Grand Cherokee when he struck the concrete barrier of the toll plaza, overturned, and became fully engulfed in flames around 9:45 a.m. in Carneys Point.  The crash, near milepost 2.4 on the northbound side, closed toll lanes 1 to 4 for four hours.  Subin was killed as a result. The crash remains under investigation.

State Police ID Driver Killed In Garden State Parkway Crash A 39-year-old driver from Teaneck was killed in an overnight crash on the Garden State Parkway in Central Jersey, authorities said. Gabriel Farias was heading north in a Mini Cooper next to a Jeep Grand Cherokee when the two vehicles sideswiped each other around 12:26 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19 near exit 120 in Old Bridge, New Jersey State Police said. The Mini Cooper then struck a concrete barrier, a guardrail and subsequently overturned, police said. Farias died as a result of the crash, authorities said. There is an ongoing investigation.
