Wildwood Home Invaders Crash Van In Floodwaters Amid Slow-Speed Pursuit: Police Two men were arrested after invading someone's home in Wildwood then crashing a van in floodwaters while trying to get away from police, authorities said. Robert McMichael, 38, of Wildwood, and Scott Hudson, 31, of West Wildwood, were later arrested in connection with the incident that began on the 200 block of East Bennett Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, Wildwood police said.  McMichael and Hudson assaulted the homeowner before stealing items from the house, police said. Update: Wild Stolen Car Chase Ends In Paterson With Struggle, Gunshot, Prosecutor Confirms A Paterson police officer’s gun accidentally discharged during the arrest of a repeat offender from Sussex County after he led officers on a wild stolen car chase, authorities said. It took three days for Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes to confirm the incident from Monday night, Jan. 9. Members of the city’s Street Crimes Unit had tried to stop the vehicle around 9 p.m., but the driver kept going, Valdes said in a release. Middlesex County Man Busted With 18 Heroin Decks In Mercer County, Police Say A Middlesex County man was busted with 18 decks of heroin in Mercer County, authorities said. Officers responding to a report of an intoxicated man near the bus stop on Nassau Park Boulevard found Charles Spence Jr. struggling to stay balanced just before 1:25 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 1, West Windsor Police said in a release on Wednesday, Sept. 7. A follow-up investigation found that Spence, of Plainsboro, had an arrest warrant out of Trenton, police said. He was also found to be in possession of 18 decks of heroin, according to police.
