A 67-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed in Gloucester County, authorities said. On Monday, Aug. 12 at approximately 12:05 a.m., Harrison Township Police Department was dispatched to area of Mullica Hill Road and the Route 55 overpass in reference to a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle. A vehicle overturned and a utility pole was down closing a major roadway in Gloucester County. The crash occurred at about 3:40 p.m. on Friday, June 21 on Route 322 west of Route 45 in Harrison Township, according to the NJ DOT. All lanes were closed, 511nj.org reported.

Massive Hole In Roadway Strands Residents In Gloucester County: Police
A giant hole took out a roadway in Gloucester County causing scattered power outages, authorities said. On Friday, March 15 at about 7:30 a.m., a 6ABC news helicopter filmed the hole cutting off part of Swamp Road in the Mullica Hill section of Harrison Township. No one was hurt, according to Harrison Township police. Water could be seen running through the washed-out road leaving some nearby homes stranded. A Pennsylvania man was killed after colliding with a pickup truck in Gloucester County, authorities said. Monir Lancaster, 38, of Chester, PA, was driving a Buick Encore westbound on Stephen M. Sweeney Way in Harrison Township at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27 when he veered into the eastbound lane for an unknown reason, according to township police. Motorcyclist Dies After Passing Line Of Stopped Cars In South Jersey
A 61-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a pickup truck this week in South Jersey. Michael McCulley, 61, of Woolwich, was heading west on Mullica Hill Road in Harrison Township, when he passed westbound cars stopped at a red light around 4:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, local police said. McCulley went into the Lambs Road intersection and struck the passenger side of the pickup truck, which had been turning left from Mullica Hill Road east onto Lambs Road north. The truck driver was hospitalized for evaluation and McCulley was pronounced dead at the scene.

Patrol Car, K-9 Stolen In Gloucester County Prompts 'Shelter-In-Place': Police
A Harrison Township police car with a K-9 aboard was stolen prompting a "shelter in place" in another Gloucester County community, authorities said. On Facebook, West Deptford police said there was a suspect but no arrests had been made early Thursday, July 13. The patrol car theft occurred at about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, in Paulsboro. A 47-year-old man from Cumberland County was killed in an explosion at a truck repair shop. Authorities identified the victim as Bruce A. Cheese of Cedarville. At approximately 10:40 a.m., on Wednesday June 15, Harrison Township police and fire departments were dispatched to Timberlane Welding, 413 Swedesboro Road, Mullica Hill, for a report of a loud explosion.
