Boy Seized With BB Gun At Rutherford HS Playoff Game
A 17-year-old boy who apparently thought it was a good idea to bring a BB gun to Rutherford High School's state playoff game against visiting Hanover Park was quickly taken into custody, authorities said. The Friday night lights made it easy for a concerned citizen to see the weapon, which the boy pulled from his waistband to show other fans near the end of the Nov. 3 game, Rutherford Police Chief John Russo said. Couple From PA Charged In Computer Repair Scam That Conned Victims In NJ, Elsewhere
A Pennsylvania man whose wife was charged with a computer scam that allowed her to siphon money out of unsuspecting victims’ accounts had a similar scheme going, Bergen County authorities announced. : Judge Frees Bergen Woman Charged With Endangerment After Baby Ingests Opioid
A 23-year-old Bergen County woman was arrested after a 6-month-old child ingested and overdosed on an opioid, authorities said. Alia Elsafy of North Arlington was initially jailed, but a Superior Court judge in Hackensack almost immediately ordered her release on Friday, May 26, under New Jersey's bail reform law, records show. Teacher's Aide Arrested After Arranging Sex With Boy, 14: North Arlington PD
A 24-year-old teacher’s aide from Bloomfield was arrested after authorities said he arranged to have sex with a 14-year-old North Arlington boy. Don R. Knight-Powell, 24, had been communicating online before making the arrangements, North Arlington Police Lt. Michael Horton said.
