Rider University Locked Down For 'Active Shooter' Threat A shelter-in-place was lifted Monday afternoon, April 3, after a call threatening a possible active shooter, authorities said. Lawrence Township police said it was investigating the call made to Rider University Public Safety. Alerts started at about 1:15 p.m. and the lock down lasted about an hour.
