NYC Couple Arrested At Bally's Atlantic City After Refusing To Pay For Taxi Ride: Police
A New York City couple was accused of pulling a knife on an Atlantic City taxi driver in a robbery, authorities said. Atlantic City police said 26-year-old Eric Blanco-Reid and 24-year-old Brianne Cox, both of Brooklyn, NY, were arrested. Officers responded to a fight on the beach block of Arkansas Avenue at around 7:15 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5. They found the victim, a local cab driver who gave a ride to Blanco-Reid and Cox. UPDATE: A man who admitted trying to strong-arm a Jersey Shore resident into giving him and his accomplices $200,000 must spend the next decade in federal prison. Francis A. Garzon, 35, of Brooklyn, must serve the entire plea-bargained 121-month sentence because there's no parole in the federal prison system.
