Jersey Shore Man Who Had 157 Cats At Home Indicted, Prosecutors Say
A Brick Township man was indicted after more than 150 cats were found in his home, authorities said. A grand jury indicted 56-year-old Jeffrey Finlay on Wednesday, Aug. 28 for 149 counts of animal cruelty, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. Finlay called Brick police to help remove the animals from his house on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Officers found about 157 cats and three dogs at the Mantoloking Road home. Paterson Trio Stole Purses In 'Distract And Grab' Scheme At NJ Stores: Police
Three people from Paterson were accused of distracting shoppers in Brick Township and stealing from them, authorities said. Brick Township police arrested 35-year-old Oswaldo Uribe-Acosta, 27-year-old Salvia Beraun-Villanueva, and 58-year-old Oscar Lopez-Salcedo on Tuesday, June 11, the department said in a news release. Police received several reports in May from victims whose wallets or purses were taken from shopping carts. One of the 180 animals rescued last month from an alleged Jersey Shore puppy mill was reunited with its original owners from Tennessee on New Year's Eve. Two women who call themselves "Crazy Rescue Ladies" on social media were charged after authorities found the neglected dogs and cats living in unsanitary conditions in their Jersey Shore home last month, police said. A 34-year-old repeat offender from the Jersey Shore has admitted to possessing thousands of images and videos depicting child sexual abuse, authorities said. Andrew Ramey, 34, of Brick, pleaded guilty on Tuesday by videoconference before U.S. District Judge Brian R.
