Chop Doctor Killed In Philadelphia Crash The bicyclist who died in a crash on Wednesday, July 17, was a doctor at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, according to police and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia website.  Barbara Ann Friedes, 30, was struck from behind by a 2018 Volkswagen on the 1800 block of Spruce Street around 7 p.m., Philadelphia police wrote in a release.  The Volkswagen then hit three parked cars before coming to a rest, police continued. Friedes was taken to Jefferson University Hospital and pronounced dead, while the driver of the Volkswagen was taken to the same hospital with minor …

76ers Guard Struck By Car In Philadelphia Has Broken Rib, Hip Injury: Police Philadelphia 76ers guard Kelly Oubre, Jr. was hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle on Saturday, Nov. 11. City police say Oubre was crossing at the 1400 block of Spruce Street at Hick Street when a speeding vehicle tried turning onto Hick, hitting him in the chest with the driver's side mirror. The vehicle fled the location south on Hicks Street.
