'Execution-Style' Jersey Shore Killers Sentenced
Two men were sentenced to prison time for their roles in what prosecutors called an "execution-style" double murder of a young man and woman in Neptune Township nearly two years ago. Gabriel Braithwaite, 21, of Keansburg was sentenced to 40 years in state prison on Friday, Jan. 5, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago announced. Braithewaite pleaded guilty in July 2023 to three charges, including two counts of first-degree murder. Jeron Dearin, 24, of Aberdeen was sentenced to five years in state prison. Pair Arrested In Fatal Double Shooting Of 2 Teenagers In Parked Car: Monmouth County Prosecutor
Two Bayshore men have been arrested in connection with a fatal double shooting of two teenagers in a parked vehicle, authorities said. Gabriel Braithwaite, 19, of Keansburg and Jerod Dearin, 22, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen were both charged with two counts of first-degree murder and single counts of first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, two related second-degree weapons offenses, and third-degree hindering apprehension, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. Authorities ID One Of Two Victims Slain In Jersey Shore Shooting
Two people died Wednesday in a Monmouth County, authorities said. A female victim has been identified as 18-year-old Samore Edwards of Plainfield in Union County, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. A male victim had yet to be positively identified as of Thursday. Neptune Township police responded to the 1300 block of Washington Avenue on a report of a shooting around 8:15 p.m., according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey.
