Beloved NJ College Rowing Coach Battles Cancer, Needs Heart Transplant: Campaign A retired Stockton University rowing head coach is battling cancer and looking for a heart transplant, according to a fundraising campaign. John Bancheri was hired in December 2018 as Stockton's first full-time women's rowing coach, the Galloway Township college said. Bancheri is an Atlantic City native with about 40 years of experience as a college rowing coach.
