2 Dead In Pemberton Bypass Crash: Reports
Two people died in a crash on the Pemberton Bypass Tuesday, Nov. 14, according to multiple reports. Both NBC10 and 6abc say the double fatal crash occurred at Pemberton Bypass and Colemans Bridge Road around 12:30 p.m. At least one person was airlifted, the outlets say, but their condition was not immediately clear. Rochelle Park School Board Member Running For Municipal Office Busted For DWI
A Rochelle Park Board of Education member who's running for a seat on the Township Committee was busted for DWI earlier this month, police records show. Officers responding to a call found a Toyota SUV with a green light idling in a left-turn lane on Railroad Avenue shortly before 4 a.m. Oct. 7, according to a report filed by one of them. Jorge A. Martinez Jr. was alone in the vehicle and had his head down as they pulled, the officers said. Once they did, Martinez suddenly turned onto Rochelle Avenue headed north, they said. Oh deer! A 13-year-old bicyclist was struck by a deer that was struck by a car in a chaotic scene in Hackettstown on Tuesday, Oct. 10. At 7:03 p.m., police responded to the 600 block of Willow Grove Street to a report of a teen bicyclist struck by a deer, officers said. Police determined the deer ran into the roadway and was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound, officers said. The deer then proceeded to hit the bicyclist, police said. Officer Struck By Car On South Jersey Highway, Hit-Run Driver Charged
A 52-year-old woman has been charged after she struck a police officer on a New Jersey highway and then fled the scene, authorities said. Rachel Glatt was heading south on Route 130 when she struck Robbinsville patrolman Connor Boyle, 25, who was assisting a disabled driver near Voelbel Road at about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, the officer's department said in a release. A 25-year-old Clifton man is charged with stabbing his 22-year-old cousin to death on New Year’s Eve. Motasem Ramadan fought with police who arrested him following the fatal stabbing at a home across the street from a city elementary school around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, authorities said. Virginia Walmart Shooting: Seven Including Gunman Dead In Rampage, Police Say
A shooting rampage left seven people dead including the gunman at a Chesapeake, VA Walmart Tuesday, Nov. 22 — just two days before Thanksgiving, authorities said. Police used tactical force to enter the Battlefield Boulevard Walmart at Sam's Circle on reports of an "active shooter" at 10:12 p.m., and found multiple bodies, a Chesapeake police spokesman told reporters. Authorities later confirmed seven victims, including the shooter, and one person near the entrance of the store.

Car Thief Kills One Person, Hurts 3 In Wild Central Jersey Pursuit: AG
A car thief being pursued by police crashed into several civilian vehicles killing one person and hurting three others overnight in Central Jersey, authorities said. A Marlboro officer was pursuing the car stolen from a local home when it struck unrelated civilian vehicles around 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of Spring Valley Road and Route 9 South, the State Attorney General's office said. The identities of those involved were not being released. The Attorney General’s Office was investigating, as is standard procedure.

A welfare check resulted in the arrest of two people and recovery of more than 14 pounds of marijuana, authorities said. A driver was in critical condition following a crash in Burlington County, according to NJ Advance Media. Happy Ending At Newark Airport After Thief Snatches Wedding Band At TSA Checkpoint
A thief was steps from fleeing with a fellow traveler's wedding band at Newark Airport when TSA and Port Authority officers teamed up to catch him, authorities said. Told that the ring was missing from a screened bin, a Transportation Security Administration supervisor reviewed surveillance video and saw the thief snatch it, the TSA's Lisa Farbstein said. Attempted Car Theft Reported Near Gov. Murphy's Middletown Mansion
There was an attempted car theft at a home near Gov. Phil Murphy's mansion near the Navasink River in Middletown, authorities said. At approximately 3:25 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, there was a break-in at a garage that is in close proximity to the governor’s house, Middletown police said.
