An elderly driver hit a pedestrian at an intersection in Longport, authorities said. The crash happened at the intersection of Atlantic and 27th avenues at around 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14, the Longport Police Department said in a news release. Investigators said the 91-year-old Margate woman was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Cruz on South 27th Avenue. She was turning east onto Atlantic Avenue when she struck a 53-year-old Linwood woman. Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Route 38 In Cherry Hill
A pedestrian was struck and killed on Route 38 in Cherry Hill, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 11 p.m. on Friday, July 26, according to the New Jersey State Police fatal statistics web page. Route 38 westbound was closed between Haddonfield Road and Chapel Avenue, according to Cherry Hill police. No other details were immediately available.

A 60-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver early Friday, June 14 in Vineland, authorities said. At approximately 12:30 a.m., Vineland police responded to North Delsea Drive near West Wheat Road about a pedestrian who appeared to be struck by a vehicle on the shoulder of the roadway. A pedestrian was struck and reported to be unconscious, according to developing and unconfirmed reports. The crash occurred at about 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 1 on Route 130 northbound near Tanby Chase Drive in Delran, initial reports said. Injuries were critical, an unconfirmed report said. Pedestrian, 25, Killed In Cumberland County Crash: Police
A 25-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a car in Cumberland County, authorities said. Vineland police responded to Fourth Street and Chestnut Avenue at about 10 p.m. on Monday, July 4. They found a man lying in the road, police said. The man, who had not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 23-year-old pedestrian from Camden was critically injured when she was struck by a vehicle near Interstate 295 in South Jersey, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13 on Route 73 southbound at the top of the I-295 northbound ramp in Mount Laurel Township, initial reports said.
