Uber Sued By Jersey Shore Bridal Shop Over Bogus Driver's Dress Theft: Report
A Jersey Shore bridal shop has sued Uber, saying one of its drivers stole seven wedding dresses worth more than $4,000, NJ Advance Media reported.
The driver allegedly called himself "Torrey," and gave someone else's phone number before making off with the dresses, the outlet said.
Azaria Bridal in Freehold said that the driver called the business on Tuesday, May 17, confirming that he could pick up and deliver dresses for the company, the report says citing court papers.

Wildwood Man Finds Buried Cash From 1934 While Renovating Home
A South Jersey man found cash buried while he was renovating his home, Philadelphia CBS 3 reported.
"They were hiding that money from somebody for something,” Richard Gilson of Wildwood told the outlet.
Gilson found about $1,000 in rolls of $10 and $20 bills, all dated from 1934, on Friday, July 8 as he was digging up an area outside his home, his wife, Suzanne, wrote on Facebook.
He thinks the money was cashed out at once during the Great Depression or stolen, the outlet said.

Philadelphia Man, 56, Killed As SUV Collides With Truck Carrying 42,000 Lbs. Of Sugar: Report
A 56-year-old man from Philadelphia was killed after crashing head-on into a tractor-trailer carrying 42,000 pounds of sugar in South Jersey, NJ Advance Media reported.
Hien Dinh Nguyen was driving an SUV east on High Hill Road in Logan Township at about 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 12 when he veered into the oncoming lane, the outlet said, quoting Logan Township Police.
Nguyen was pronounced dead at the scene, while the truck driver was not hurt, according to the report.
The crash remains under investigation.
