The boy suffered a graze wound to the head after the self-inflicted shooting on Tuesday, Aug. 29. Chante Odom was charged on Wednesday, Aug. 30, with endangering the welfare of a child and weapons offenses. She did not have a permit to carry a weapon in New Jersey or Pennsylvania, police said.
