These 70+ NJ Gas Stations Are Dropping Prices Friday
Ever wonder how cheap gas in New Jersey would be if it was self-serve? More than 70 New Jersey stations will be offering fuel at a discounted rate to show drivers just that on Friday, May 13. The initiative promoting self-serving fueling was launched by Fuel Your Way NJ, a coalition that advocates for self-serve gas stations that still offer full service. Federal authorities took over the case of a Newark man charged with carjacking a Montclair woman at gunpoint in her driveway. Andy Cook, 23, was captured by Essex County sheriff's officers shortly after he and a gunman accosted the victim on Melrose Place in the township's Estate section shortly before 7:30 p.m. last Dec. 6, authorities said. Actor and New Jersey native Richard Burgi has been fired from "The Young and the Restless" for violating the CBS show's COVID-19 protocol, Variety reports. Niche has released its 2022 rankings of the best colleges in New Jersey. Princeton University was ranked first among the top 10 in the state. Fast-Acting Montclair Officer Saves Choking, Breastfeeding Newborn
A fast-acting Montclair police officer is being hailed as a hero for saving a choking newborn. Officers Kevin Ortiz, Matthew Dobrowolski, and Sean Verbist arrived at the Nushuane Road home within minutes of the 911 call being placed around 9:45 p.m. Oct. 14, Lt. Terence Turner said.
