Van Strikes Two Pedestrians, Killing Woman In Jersey Shore Crash: Prosecutors A woman was killed and a man was injured when they were hit by a van on a busy Neptune Township road, authorities said. The two were struck on Route 66, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release on Wednesday, Dec. 11. Neptune Township police responded to the collision at around 7:36 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Steve Goldman, 79, was killed in the crash on Monday, Dec. 2, a Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office spokesperson said. Colts Neck police responded to the scene near the intersection of County Route 537 and New Street at around 10:27 a.m. According to the state police fatal crash database, Goldman was driving a vehicle. Investigators haven't released any further details about what led up to the wreck as of press time.
