Driver, 78, Killed, Passenger Seriously Injured After Car Strikes Tree In Mercer County: Police
A 78-year-old man who suffered a medical emergency died after his car struck a tree in Mercer County, authorities said. Jared Fowler, of Pennington, was driving near Fackler Road and Deer Run at about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7 when he veered off the road, Lawrence Township police said. Fowler was taken to Capital Health Systems Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said. His passenger, Janne Fowler, 78, was taken to the hospital with significant but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Drugs worth more than $100,000 were seized as part of a bust in Mercer County, authorities said. Andre Stlouis, 38, of Trenton, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 1, on various drug charges, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri. A 24-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a Subaru Outback in Mercer County, authorities said. The Outback was traveling on Pennington-Harbourton Road in Hopewell Township on Monday, Oct. 9 at 3:20 p.m. and made a left turn onto Scotch Road when it struck the Harley Davidson motorcycle, police said.
