Employee Assaulted, Locked In Closet During Armed Robbery Of Route 70 Mattress Store: PD
A mattress store employee was assaulted and locked in a closet during an armed robbery in Evesham on Wednesday, Dec. 27, authorities said.
At 6:30 p.m., an unknown man, wearing all black with a face covering and carrying a black weapon, believed to be a knife, entered the Mattress Warehouse and demanded money, Evesham police said.
The suspect assaulted the employee and then locked him in a closet before fleeing the store, police said.
The employee was able to free themselves and called police, officers said. They were taken to Virtua Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, …
